Vroengard is an island off the coast of northern Alagaësia. The island is reputedly home to mysterious beasts.
History
Before the downfall, the island was the home of the Dragon Riders. It was their main headquarters. The city of Doru Araeba, located in the east of Vroengard, was their capital. It is said that strange creatures live there. It's likely that they are Dragons, or another magical creature, such as Werecats and Spirits. The identity of these creatures will likely be revealed in Inheritance. There have also been rumors of Eldunarí somewhere on the island.
It was also the site of the last battle of the fight between Galbatorix and the Forsworn where Vrael, the leader of the Dragon Riders, made his last stand in battle against Galbatorix, before his flight to Utgard Mountain. It is now said that it is haunted.
