Hi, I'm new here. As you might have guessed from my choice of a user name, I'm a fan of Christopher Paolini's writing. I'm also a bibliophile, a mythology and history buff (I often spend hours reading articles on Wikipedia, that's how I stumbled across this fantastic portal).

In no particular order, J.R.R. Tolkien, Christopher Paolini, Guy Gavriel Kay, Anne McCaffrey (yeah it's sci-fi, but still), Robert Jordan, David Eddings, Roger Zelazny. And many others I haven't mentioned as I like/am familiar with, only part of their oeuvre, (actually, I like Eldest better than Eragon, and don't like The Hobbit at all; but that doesn't count).

• Encyclopedia Mythica. For mythology buffs, a good place to start, (esp. Greek and Roman areas, and good internal search engine).
