WAIT, I THOUGHT Morzan was DEAD when Selena returned! 169.229.121.94 00:15, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Comparisons move[]

I think that the "Comparisons" section can be moved to the page Anti-Eragonism. It's just another reason for people to critisize Eragon'

Perhaps the section could be edited to become a mythological/literary connections section? NJZimmermann 20:33, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Why/How did Selena die???[]

The books never mentioned how she died, explicity. How did she die??

Unspecified illness, I believe.--Wyvern Rex. (talk) 08:46, November 23, 2012 (UTC)
Was it childbirth with Eragon??? That was heavily/kind of implied in Book 3, Brisingr..........
If it had been childbirth alone, she wouldn't have made it back to Morzans palace. The likeliest cause was a combination of the strain of childbirth, and the toll of the return journey, which would have also made her unable to recover from the prior birth. Put simply; she died of exhaustion. - arch angel gabriele 02:15, November 24, 2012 (MST)
But why was she in such a rush to get back to Morzan's palace? She wasn't even on his side anymore; she was helping Brom and giving information to the Varden. - Unsigned Count_Veger
First of all, sign your posts. And second, she may not have known that he was dead. It's possible that she feared Morzan would seek her out before long, which would put Eragon in danger. Alternatively, she may have been trying to get to Murtagh, so she could bring him to Carvahall as well, but collapsed before she could take him. This, along with my above answer however, are all readers conjecture, so you'll have to ask Christopher Paolini if you want definitive answers. - Arch angel gabriele (talk) 15:47, August 25, 2013 (UTC)
Complications from childbirth, I would imagine.--Gilderien Talk|Contribs 19:27, September 13, 2013 (UTC)
No, as I said earlier, that would have killed her right away, during said childbirth. Illness and exhaustion are still the top contenders. -Arch angel gabriele (talk) 22:42, September 13, 2013 (UTC)
What if she had say caught a fever from childbirth which gradually overwhelmed her? That's what I was thinking.--Gilderien Talk|Contribs 18:41, September 15, 2013 (UTC)
I'm no obstetrician, but I'm pretty sure one doesn't catch a fever during childbirth. Read the entirety of my first post. I'm not saying it wasn't a major contributing factor, but it didn't do it alone.-Arch angel gabriele (talk) 21:24, September 15, 2013 (UTC)
