Has anyone else thought that maybe Galbatorix lied to Murtagh and told him Saphira was the last female dragon? Because it would kinda make sense because then Galbatorix could put Eragon and Saphira in his control. Then he could find someone to hatch the last dragon egg, which could be female. Just a possibility, thought an unlikely one. And to add, maybe Glader knew the gender of the last egg somehow so he thought that Saphira wasnt the only hope for their race... Hi,

i need too know how fast will dragon hatch after his rider touches his egg in movie it took around 36 hours, but i am intrested in book version?

I'm not sure exactly but I would say it takes several days after finding and touching the egg for it to hatch ("Discovery" to "Fate's Gift").--Wyvern Rex. (talk) 12:45, July 23, 2014 (UTC)

thank you, but how does person know that he was chosen to be rider of unhatched dragon in old days because there were many candidates?

Hmm, Saphira's situation wasn't exactly normal: she had just been teleported, after all. In a more stable environment, I don't see why impression couldn't proceed a lot faster. Perhaps further volumes could shed more light on it.--Wyvern Rex. (talk) 14:54, July 24, 2014 (UTC)

      

It has too be something that tells the rider who is carying the egg that the person who touched it is chosen too be a rider, meybe some magical sign like warm egg when rider has his hand on it that tells that dragon has chosen its rider.
