Shrrg

A Shrrg was a giant wolf, native to the Beor Mountains. It favored the mountains' woodland in particular, where it hunted Nagra. Eragon Shadeslayer and Nar Garzhvog encountered a Shrrg on their way to Tronjheim.

Shrrg are described as being immensely large, roughly the same size as a horse. Even though they are very large, they were still fast and agile hunters, able to overtake and kill Nagra. Shrrg are also described with fangs like sabers and burning yellow eyes and heavy shoulders. In the Beor Mountains, they hunted the native deer, the giant boar Nagra, and the large Feldunost goats. It is presumed that they competed and fought with the massive cave bears, the Urzhad.
