Robert Carlyle, born April 14, 1961, is the actor who played Durza in the Eragon movie and he also voiced Durza for the Eragon video game.

Carlyle now plays Rumplestiltskin/Mr Gold in the ABC TV series Once Upon a Time. Rumpletiltskin is also considered to be the Beast from the tale Beauty and the Beast as his true love is Belle and his most prized possession is the chipped cup Belle broke on her first day.
