The Massacre at Yazuac was one of the bloodiest battles fought during the Northern Massacres. It was part of Galbatorix's purge of rebel hotspots in the north, which he feared would rally to the Varden.
The Urgal army attacked the town. There were many good warriors in Yazuac, but they were no match for the large Kull force. Everyone in the village was killed: men, women, and children. Eragon was disgusted to find a baby at the top of the pillage with a spear protruding from its body.
When Eragon and Brom arrived at the town they found Urgal deserters pillaging the town. For the first time, Eragon used magic to kill them, after which, Brom was extremely livid with him but agreed to begin his magic training.
