Gilderien (Talk ▪ Contributions ▪ Logs) - I am one of the most active editors on Inheriwiki and have the third highest number of edits of any active user. - Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Inheriwiki in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with?
- A: Vandalism removal, blocking of Vandals, deletion of inappropriate pages, etc. Also protection/Unprotection of pages, although there does not seem to be that much need at the moment. Basically anything that needs to be done, will be done.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Inheriwiki, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: My first contribution I was particularly proud of was my creation of the "Unseen Characters" and "Unseen Places" categories, as this was often not included in the respective articles. In addition, I have rewritten many of the dates from BBRW to AC, as AC is the canon (?) calendar system. Finally, I have recently begun a references and past tense drive, as many of the articles have no references at all.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: On Inheriwiki: User:TheTERRORIST adding inappropriate fan specualtion in all CAPS into articles and I politely requested that they did not do this. They then vandalised my talk page [1], but fortunately an admin stepped in and they were actually blocked[2]. On Wikipedia: I have as part of Recent Changes patrolling inevitably had to deal with Users or IPs who have been vadalising or spamming. I have almost invariably used the warning templates[3], and found these very useful, although a few of these users have eventually been blocked[4].
- 4. If you could change any one thing about Inheriwiki, what would it be? Why?
- A: Possibly activate awards, but only with community consensus. In addition, I would probably create templates for warnings and content removal, similar to the templates on Wikipedia, as I have found them very useful in the past.

- I like your idea to create templates for warnings etc. It's far more personal to leave a message "your edit was reverted because ..." on a user's talk page instead of just using the version comment. I've already created a template "please sign your comments" some time ago. --Weas-El ✉ 09:19, September 22, 2011 (UTC)

- I think Gilderien is an eligible candidate for adminship. But do we actually need another admin? We have 7 admins and 6 bureaucrats. Maybe we should downsize the list of admins and the list of bureaucrats. - Gilderien is truth worthy and reliable, he has made many posts to this wikia and i think he deserves his position! No1s perfect.
