Honey Cake was one of a number of foods mentioned when Eragon dined with the dwarfs during the journey from the Beor Mountains to Ellesméra.

Honey cake is a layered cake commonly made in Russia. The layers are more like biscuits and between the layers is a caramel filling. Another dish from the same scene, blueberry soup, is popular in Scandanavia and may be served hot or cold depending on season.
