Halstead

Halstead was the Imperial lord of Aroughs and earl of Fenmark during the Rider War. He is known to have had seven sons, all but the youngest of whom (Tharos) having fled or gone into hiding. He also had at least one daughter, Galiana. After the end of the Siege of Aroughs, he hid in a wine cellar. Rather than risk Varden lives trying to capture him, Roran ordered his men to ignite pots of oil to smoke him out. Halstead waited too long and was suffocated by the fumes.
