Greta

Greta was the faithful caretaker of Elva. While still in Farthen Dûr, she demanded that Eragon Shadeslayer bless her charge, even going so far as to grab his ankle until he agreed to do it. When the Varden left Farthen Dûr to set up camp in Surda, Greta continued to care for Elva there. When Eragon tried to set his curse right, he failed, but only partly because Elva was happy with the new circumstances of her curse. After Eragon's attempt, Elva went off on her own and left Greta, who was heartbroken. Saphira, who had given Elva her shining brow, says that Greta might try to slip a knife between Eragon's ribs.
