Gûntera's Mother was the primeval she-wolf, mother of the Dwarven god Gûntera, believed to be the most ancient being other than the Giants. She conceived Gûntera, fully formed, at the dawn of the stars. She might be the ancestress of the Wolves and of the Shrrg of the Beor Mountains.
