Just a thought.

  • No clue if I'm formatting this right, but here goes nothing. Yes. Absolutely. I mean, sure, there are tons of young boys who suddenly find themselves Saviors of the Universe. Look at Luke Skywalker, Eragon, Harry Potter, King Arthur, Will Parry... But let's look for young farmboys who become Saviors of the Universe by accidentally receiving something sent by rebel princesses caught by the evil Empire's right-hand man to a mysterious old man who happens to be one of the last of an order of supernaturally gifted warriors who ruled the land in peace and prosperity in the days before the evil Empire who also happens to be the former best friend of the guy who betrayed the order of supernaturally gifted warriors to the evil Empire. Uh... Two: Luke Skywalker and Eragon. No, seriously. every word here is true, isn't it? ANereid 00:23, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
    • All copied from Star Wars. And the 'I am your brother' revelation. Paolini copied so much that sometimes it's actually plagiarism. Drewton SWTFU WP1 1280x1024 00:36, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
      • I agree. I started banging my head on the table at that point. What made it worse was the fact that Eragon had to find out in the middle of an epic battle with the evil king's right-hand man. If you visit Anti-Shur'tugal there's a whole plot summary of both Star Wars and Inheritance that's incredibly detailed. It's amazing. ANereid 19:08, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

The Anti-Eragonism article contains a list of parallels between the two corpuses of literature.NJZimmermann 21:29, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

  • By the way... what's a "corpus", and since when was Star Wars considered literature? ANereid 00:23, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
