Golden Eagle in flight
Eagles were large birds of prey which inhabited almost all of Alagaësia. In the Battle of The Burning Plains, they were one of the scavenger birds that feasted on the carcasses after the battle.
Eagles featured in a deleted scene found in the Deluxe Edition of Brisingr. In a traditional Urgal tale, Svarvok sent a group of eagles to locate his son, Ahno the Trickster. They found him and spoke to him in the Urgal language, but he had turned into a deer and did not recognize their speech.
