Dusan was one of two 12-year-old elven children in Ellesméra (the other being Alanna). He appeared alongside Alanna and Maud in the chapter "Mind over Metal" in Brisingr when Eragon and Rhunön were crafting Eragon's sword, Brisingr.
Dusan was extraordinary beautiful, even by elven standards. His skin was described as having displayed a faint, silvery sheen, as if he was so filled with energy, it was seeping out of his flesh.
Rhunön informed Eragon that elf children were blessed with gifts of grace and power beyond that of a grown elf.
