Diamonds in the Night is the 15th chapter of Eldest. It takes the point of view of Roran.

Summary Edit

Roran and the other villagers protect Carvahall by building wooden walls and digging a moat. A meeting is held to weigh the villagers' options, including sending their children down the Palancar Valley to live in relative safety with Cawley. Roran tries to organize the villagers to fight against the Ra'zac, though Thane objects and Kiselt claims that the situation is hopeless.
