Beirland Island was the largest of five islands in an archipelago off of the Alagaësian coast, and the only one known to have a town, Eoam. At a certain point in Eoam resides a piece of "wild" magic: a floating crystal, referred to as the Floating Crystal of Eoam.  Nía Island was adjacent to Beirland, and between them there was a whirlpool a few miles in diameter. Other islands in this archipelago included: Uden Island, Parlim Island, and Illium Island.
